Porsche Rennsport Reunion 2 Show and Race, 2004-04-23 - 2004-04-25, Daytona International Raceway, Daytona, Florida

The Porsche Rennsport Reunion was first celebrated at Lime Rock Park on July 27, 2001, with the challenge of bringing together Historic Porsche Racing cars and drivers to famous racing circuits.

This first event cosponsored by Porsche Cars North America was such a hit that this event looks like it will be repeated every 3 or so years.

Porsche Rennsport Reunion II moved to the high banks of the Daytona International Raceway and its infield circuit. There were Porsche Racing cars all over the Daytona vast infield. I was able to discover seemly abandoned Porsche racing cars, sometimes all by themselves, in out-of-the-way vacant garages. It was, in all, overwhelming.

And to see the Porsche 917's and Porsche 962's running the high banks was a move back in time.
